Can I receive more than one SMS on the same number?
It depends on which type of NorthSMS number you are using.
SMS activation numbers
Activation numbers are one-time: each order is for a single verification code from the service you selected. Once the first SMS is delivered, the order is complete and the number cannot receive further messages. To receive another code, buy a new activation number — this is how the one-time activation model works, not an error.
Rental numbers
A rental number stays active for the whole period you rented — plans range from hourly up to annual — and can receive multiple incoming SMS during that time, not just one code. Every message it receives is shown on the number's detail page. As long as the rental hasn't expired, or you extend or renew it, it keeps receiving SMS.
One caveat for rentals: a service that has already been verified ("burned") on a specific number cannot be verified again from scratch on that same number. Continuing to receive codes for an account you already verified — such as login codes — works fine while the rental is active.
